staying at the dowans was a highlight of our trip! the deluxe king room was incredibly comfortable and offered beautiful countryside views. the dinner experience was superb, starting with cocktails in the library, which really set the mood. the location is ideal for exploring the heart of scotland, making it a relaxing escape.

This place was just a suitable option for a momentary pause in Aberlour with value for money. The whisky room was amazing, a great way to spend the evening trying different selections. Bring some snacks as dining options nearby are limited.

Staying here was incredible, with the nearby Glenfiddich Distillery just under 7 km away and the Speyside Way Visitor Center within a quick 500 meters, making it easy to walk to fantastic landmarks and enjoy the stunning park views along the way.

Family getaway for whiskey lovers

We enjoyed one of the hundreds of Whisky's in the remarkable Whisky room, which is worth a visit alone. The staff were excellent and super friendly, making us feel like we were part of the family.

It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but ultimately worth it.

I was genuinely enchanted by my stay, from the moment I stepped into my beautifully appointed Club Room. The atmosphere felt like a warm embrace, and the views from the sun terrace were nothing short of breathtaking! Each meal was a delight, especially the breakfast spread with haggis and fresh eggs that set me up for an adventurous day ahead.

the dowans hotel is such a nice place to kickback after a busy week. we loved the beautiful facilities and the food was excelent too! had such a great time trying out their whisky collection and the staff felt like friends. the hotel really has character, like a lil castle, and the warm atmosphere just makes u wanna stay longer.

the bathroom in our deluxe king room was a bit cramped and could've used more space. also, the noise from the hallway was kinda annoying, especially when other guests were coming and going.

The common areas and rooms offered less warmth than I'd have liked during a snowy January. additional heaters just didn't cut it. A surprising absence of a log fire meant the atmosphere felt flat, and the coffee quality didn’t match the hotel’s high standards, although that’s a minor quibble.
